Luxury packaging is now much more than just packaging, as it represents the brand’s identity, the customer experience and, increasingly, a commitment to sustainability. This is why, in a highly competitive global market, companies are investing in innovative materials, exclusive designs and eco-friendly solutions to stand out and attract increasingly demanding consumers.
International trade fairs dedicated to luxury packaging offer companies a unique opportunity to showcase their innovations and are concentrated in the 365-day period from early autumn to late spring. Let’s take a look at the next five major events.
Luxe Pack Monaco: 30 September – 2 October 2025
Where: Grimaldi Forum, Monaco
Focus: Innovation, sustainability, design for high-end packaging
Considered the benchmark trade fair for luxury packaging, Luxe Pack Monaco attracts the industry’s leading players every year thanks to international brands in cosmetics, perfumery, fashion, wines and spirits, jewellery and fine dining. The 2025 edition will focus heavily on eco-friendly materials, refill solutions and circular packaging, in line with growing market and consumer demands.
One of the highlights of the fair is the Luxe Pack in Green Awards, which recognises the most innovative and sustainable projects of the year.
Empack Madrid: 15–16 October 2025
Where: Ifema Madrid
Focus: Technological and sustainable solutions for packaging
Although not exclusively focused on the luxury segment, Empack Madrid dedicates a specific section to high-value packaging every year. In 2025, there will be much discussion about traceability via blockchain, anti-counterfeiting packaging and systems for interaction between packaging and consumers through NFC and advanced QR codes.
Paris Packaging Week: 28–29 January 2026
Where: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles
Focus: Innovation and sustainability for beauty, food and fashion
Paris Packaging Week brings together four specialised events under one roof: ADF (aerosols), PCD (cosmetics and perfumes), PLD (wines and spirits) and Packaging Première (luxury), making it one of the most dynamic trade fairs for those working in high-end packaging, especially in the beauty and lifestyle sectors.
In 2026, there will be a strong emphasis on “smart” packaging and customisation through digital technologies, as well as compostable, plastic-free or bio-based solutions, while among the most eagerly awaited innovations will be augmented reality and interactive storytelling projects applied to primary packaging.
Luxe Pack New York: 14–15 May 2026
Where: Javits Center, New York
Focus: North American trends and global solutions
The American version of the Monegasque event, Luxe Pack New York is the ideal meeting place for American and international brands seeking high-end packaging solutions. The 2026 edition will focus on three pillars: aesthetics, performance and sustainability.
Ample space will be dedicated to sensory design, 3D printing applied to packaging and innovative materials, such as marine fibres, vegetable leather and artistic recycled glass, but there will also be training sessions, B2B meetings and case study presentations by leading luxury brands.
Packaging Première: 20-22 May 2026
Where: Allianz MiCo, Milan
Focus: Packaging for fashion, cosmetics, perfumery, wines and spirits
Packaging Première is the showcase of Italian excellence in luxury packaging, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, creativity and aesthetic research. The 2026 edition promises to be particularly rich, with a programme of talks and workshops on innovative materials, multisensory design, narrative packaging and artificial intelligence applied to design.
A special area will be dedicated to the “Luxury Lab”, where start-ups and young designers will present experimental concepts for the packaging of the future, with a focus on environmental impact and functionality.
In conclusion, the landscape of trade fairs dedicated to luxury packaging will continue to reflect the evolution of a sector in constant transformation, with a focus that remains firmly on design, but with sustainability and technology now becoming essential elements for companies that want to innovate and excel.
